Dr. Ankur Desai

Dr. Desai was born in Mumbai, India and immigrated to the United States when he was 12. His family settled in Westchester, New York, where he did most of his primary schooling. He went to Binghamton University where he graduated with a BS. in Biology. Dr. Desai graduated from NYU College of Dentistry in 2004 and did a General Practice Residency for 1 year, at New York Medical College. Here, he gained invaluable experience in all aspects of General Dentistry, especially Oral Surgery and Emergency Dental medicine.

After completion of the residency, Dr. Desai practiced in Manhattan before moving to South New Jersey, outside of Philadelphia, where he practiced at his 3 private offices with his partners for 13 years. In 2021, he decided to make a life change for better weather, better school systems for his children, and better long-term professional opportunities. He and his family moved to Austin, Texas, and he could not be happier with the move.

His style of practice is to keep things simple; apply a conservative approach to dental care while maintaining a high standard of ethics and quality. Dr. Desai does not believe in overtreatment. He believes in treating every patient as if he were treating his own family members. Treating patients with empathy, respect, and without judgment is at the core of his values.
